This publication was originally produced by the Ohio Legal Rights Service (OLRS), now known as Disability Rights Ohio (DRO) in partnership with the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council Leadership Committee in February 2004.
The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council has revised this publication to reflect the many changes that have taken place within the last ten years due to legislation and simply name changes of various government and/or state agencies.

The Department of Ohio Developmental Disabilities is having a campaign called #DSPLevelUp to encourage direct service providers with two years of experience to take 60 hours of additional training to earn up to $1 more per hour. DODD is offering 130 hours of free online training so agency and independent DSPS can earn more with the new traininglongevity add-on. See below for more information.

The Board Launches Email Encryption Policy
The Erie County Board of D.D. has started to use email encryption when sending emails that contain sensitive information such as Protected Health Information (PHI). This policy will ensure that while an email is transmission it will be delivered to the recipient safely and securely.
